In November this year, Walcon completed the design and construction of three (3) new boat ramps and launching jetties at Port Geographe, in WA’s south-west.
Scope of works included demolition and removal of the three existing fixed jetties, concrete abutments and piles.
Walcon then installed three new floating boat launching jetties, each approximately 33m long, including new piles and concrete abutments. To ensure that boat users always had access to at least two ramps, each launching jetty was constructed individually.
The decking of choice was grey FRP Micro Mesh, providing a low-maintenance solution whilst maintaining a sleek appearance.
For Walcon, the Port Geographe boat ramps are a great addition to the region, adding to the previously supplied marina extension that Walcon completed a number of years ago.
