Walcon Marine worked with the Department of Transport WA on the Batavia Coast Marina in Geraldton as lead contractor and managed the contract from design concept through to handover.
This $2 million project included the demolition of the existing ‘A’ arm of the marina and the successful design and construction of the replacement jetty. This included 44 fully serviced berths, a security gate, remote reading service pillars, fire services and land based booster pumps as well as a number of other services/accessories. The project was delivered on budget and within the timelines provided by the Department of Transport and has been operational since March 2014
Berth sizes range from 10m to 18m and include two berths for 18m catamarans. A total of forty-one piles were required for the new installation and the piling works for these were carried out by SMC marine.
